Each semester, Nichols School offers several on-campus workshops designed to help students prepare for the SAT® and ACT®. These dynamic small-group classes are held in Center 63 and are taught by Brian Eldridge, founder of Courier College Prep and a thought-leader in the standardized testing space.
The curriculum is structured around in-depth content review, insights into the most effective strategies and approaches and creating a comprehensive study plan. Classroom instruction is supplemented by a thorough review of the very best online resources to assist preparation.
The small-group setting encourages the type of engagement that fosters mastery and retention. By working through challenging material together, students take ownership of the problem solving process that they’ll rely on during the test. Active involvement and robust discussions build confidence.
These classes are ideal for rising juniors who may be taking the test for the first time, or for those who have already taken an exam but wish to improve their score. Wherever a student stands on the readiness spectrum, he or she will leave the class with the skill-sets and modes of thought necessary for success on the SAT® and ACT ® exams.
